A control sleeve pinch valve application is enabled by the incorporation in the design, of multiple tapered outlets on the internal sleeve.  These outlets are in a formation, causing water streams to be directed towards a meeting point at the center of a downstream discharge pipe.

The simplicity in the design of a manual pinch valve is highly benefit to users. It is also a contributing factor regarding minimum downtime and low maintenance costs. Only one aspect of the valve is subject to wear, which is the inner sleeve. Aside from this single component, the valve does not possess any mechanical parts and the use of an actuator is not required. In many applications, there is a requirement for a material or fluid flow to be regulated or throttled at a certain point, between full flow and a minimum rate.
